Description |
7 Night Cruise sailing from Venice to Rome aboard Azamara Quest.
Arrive early in Venice to immerse yourself in this scenic city of overarching bridges and world-famous canals. In Sibenik, a major wine-producing region in Croatia, enjoy a local red babić paired with fresh-caught seafood, or take a boat tour around dozens of islands in Kornati National Park.
Dubrovnik is outstanding – the whole city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk along the ancient walls, then shop for leather, Konavle embroidery, or gold. One of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities, Kotor, Montenegro, is our next destination. Wander the labyrinth of Old Town, or visit a local family and learn about the tradition of making olive oil.
After a day at sea watching the world go by—maybe relaxing at Sanctum Spa—awaken in beautiful Amalfi. On your late stay here, explore its beaches, beautiful cloister, and famous coastal roads overlooking the beautiful blue sea below.
Before ending your unforgettable Mediterranean voyage in Rome, visit stunning Sorrento, soaking up its fabulous views. Be sure to pick up some Limoncello while you’re there to savor your vacation, long after it ends.
Highlights of this cruise:
Venice
Experience Venice, one of the most captivating—and romantic—cities in the world. Tour the city’s cobblestone streets and overarching bridges, or take to the water and explore the canals on a water taxi or gondola. As you make your way through the city, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to shop, sample delicious Veneto wines, or people watch in Piazza San Marco.
Dubrovnik
From the moment you step beyond the stonewalls that protects Dubrovnik, you’ll understand what makes it so special. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is adorned with charming squares and centuries-old red-roofed buildings. Walk the walls for a spectacular view of the city, and if anything looks familiar, it’s probably because Dubrovnik is the home of King’s Landing on HBO’s Game of Thrones.
Kotor
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kotor is filled with churches, shops, bars, restaurants, and hidden piazzas. (The latter are perfect for enjoying Montenegrin wines like the red Vranac or dry white KrstaÄ.) The entire city is surrounded by stone, both in the form of imposing Mount Saint John and by towering ancient walls, creating a cozy feeling of protection when you walk the cobblestone streets.
Sorrento
Looking out from Sorrento is the isle of Capri. The island is divided into two main parts, Capri and Anacapri. Capri is full of Italian luxury, with designer stores and five-star hotels lining the streets, while Anacapri is slightly more down-to-earth. Take a relaxing chair lift ride to the very top of the island, as the views are jaw-droppingly gorgeous.
Rome
Always enchanting, the Eternal City will captivate you—no matter how many times you visit. Walk in the steps of gladiators at the Coliseum, channel your inner statesman at the Forum, or gaze up in wonder at Michelangelo's masterwork at St. Peter's Basilica. Pasta and vino are a must, and there are plenty of places to relax and refuel after a day of exploration. |
