Day 1 - Lyon
Welcome to Lyon. Upon arrival, transfer to Scenic Sapphire where your friendly crew await to welcome you on board. This evening, raise your glass to the marvellous cruise ahead of you at your welcome reception.

Day 2 - Lyon > Tournus

Meet a local truffle farmer and their specially trained dog to learn the tricks and techniques of truffle farming, before enjoying a tasting of their delicious produce. Alternatively, learn about the traditional craftsmanship of barrel making with a local cooper.

Tonight, at your welcome dinner, your meal will be created using regionally sourced truffles.

Day 3 - Mâcon

Visit the famous wine-growing region of Beaujolais and meet a local vintner to sample some of his best vintages, or visit the restaurant of the acclaimed chef, Georges Blanc for a cooking demonstration. Alternatively, Shop with a Chef on a guided visit to a local food market, before returning to your Scenic Space-Ship for an interactive Scenic Culinaire cooking demonstration using the ingredients you have just bought at the market.

In the evening, we’ll welcome Chef Didier Goiffon and his team on board to cook a delicious regional meal celebrating Bresse Chicken.

Day 4 - Chalon-sur-Saône

Explore the small town of Beaune in the Burgundy region, including les Hospices de Beaune, a former hospital dating back to the Middle-Ages, or tour the Château Meursault wine estate, before tasting its premium wines. Alternatively, tour Beaune and visit a local mustard producer to learn the history of the condiment, an important staple on the tables of the dukes of Burgundy.

Day 5 - Tain L’Hermitage

Surrounded by sloping vineyards, walk through this quaint town along the banks of the Rhône and sample local Côtes du Rhône wines. Alternatively, take part in a two-hour hike to Heritage Hill with a tasting of the region’s delicious varietals among the vines, or join an e-bike excursion along the banks of the Rhône.

Once the doors have closed to the public, you’re invited to an exclusive interactive workshop at the Valrhona Cite du Chocolate museum.

Day 6 - Avignon

Embark on a walking tour of Avignon, including the Palais des Papes and the famous Pont d’Avignon, or sample the celebrated wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape at a Côtes du Rhône vineyard. Alternatively, explore the artistic heritage of Arles, and visit the striking Arles Arena.

Back on board, you’ll be treated to a Cheese of France experience.

Day 7 - Avignon

Visit the hilltop village of Gordes, recognised as one of the most beautiful villages of France and home to the stunning Sénanque Abbey, or Shop with a Chef at a local food market and cook up a storm in Scenic Culinaire with your fresh ingredients. Alternatively, take an excursion to the Pont du Gard, an engineering masterpiece dating back to the first century, or drive through olive groves and vineyards for a walking tour of the town of Les Baux, stopping to taste the produce of a local olive farm.

This afternoon, you’ll be invited to a blind wine tasting, for the opportunity to enjoy the complexities of the different varieties of wine produced in the region.

Enjoy a truly unforgettable experience at the prestigious Palais des Papes, where the Grand Tinel Room will be the setting for an exclusive classical concert.

Day 8 - Viviers
Enjoy a walking tour of Viviers, including an organ recital in the town’s cathedral.

Explore the Ardèche National Park and immerse yourself in the caverne du Pont-d’Arc Museum, a replica museum depicting the collections of engravings, paintings and drawings found in the nearby Chauvet Cave. Alternatively, take a guided kayak trip along the river to explore the natural beauty of the Ardèche National Park, or visit the beautiful Provincial town of Grignan.

Day 9 - Lyon
Take in the vistas of the Rhône as you sail towards the gastronomic heart of France, Lyon, and enjoy a Food of France presentation with your cruise director.

Day 10 - Lyon

Discover Lyon’s historic significance by traversing its hidden secret passageways dating back to the 4th century, and visit Notre Dame Basilica for magnificent views of the city. Alternatively, visit the medieval walled village of Pérouges, perched atop a hill overlooking the Ain River, or enjoy a walking and tasting tour along the Rhône and Saône rivers.

Day 11 - Lyon
Depart after a wonderful farewell breakfast. Lyon is the end of your cruise, but it will be the start of a lifetime of wonderful memories.
