Day 1 - Welcome to Amsterdam
Your journey into wonder begins here. Relax and raise your glass to the days ahead at this evening’s welcome reception.

Day 2 - Amsterdam
Explore wonderful Amsterdam – with its wealth of canals, museums and bicycles.

Hop aboard one of our e-bikes and take a guided bicycle tour outside the city or walk the streets of Amsterdam with a local guide and taste the Dutch favourite, herring. You also have the opportunity to experience an iconic canal cruise and see the city from a different angle or enjoy a slice of quintessential Holland at Zaanse Schans, with its windmills and open-air conservation area.

Alternatively, you can make the most of your free time by letting Scenic Tailormade open your eyes to Amsterdam’s many key attractions.

Day 3 - Cologne > Marksburg

Take a stroll through Cologne and get up close to the filigree twin towers of the famous cathedral, or explore the city’s Jewish history. Alternatively, if you are feeling more active, cycle to Cologne from the charming medieval village of Zons or learn about Beethoven during a walking tour in the city of Bonn, the location of the composer’s birth 250 years ago.

Delight in the medieval ambience of Marksburg Castle, which has remained virtually unchanged since the Middle Ages. Partake in a magnificent medieval feast, with an abundance of fine fare and free-flowing local red wine. You can also look forward to being entertained in the grand tradition of Europe’s great royal houses, with minstrels and colourful court jesters, there for your exclusive pleasure.

Day 4 - Rhine Gorge > Rüdesheim
Enjoy the unrivalled views of the spectacular World Heritage-listed Rhine Gorge. Then alight in Rüdesheim and board the Winzerexpress mini train for a guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum before enjoying a cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument for spectacular views of the river.

Day 5 - Miltenberg
Today a unique experience awaits you. Meet the locals of the quaint German town of Miltenberg.

Meet the monks in a local monastery for a tour and insight into regional beer production or meet a local winemaker and join him for a taste of his fine wines. Alternatively, join a Baron and Baroness and learn what it is like to be a royal in the modern day, or opt to visit a local Schnapps producer and taste the many flavours available. You also have the opportunity to meet a local farming family and taste some of their homemade produce.

Day 6 - Würzburg

Explore the famous Romantic Road, an important trade route during the Middle Ages, then take in the beautiful walled town of Rothenburg, a medieval gem that overlooks the Tauber river. Or stay in Würzburg and visit the Bishop’s Residenz Palace and sample some exquisite local wine.

Day 7 - Bamberg
Immerse yourself in the Old Town of Bamberg, a World Heritage-listed Site alive with history. With your knowledgeable local guide, walk the same cobbled streets as medieval traders once did. This afternoon sample a variety of delicious German sausage on board.

Day 8 - Nuremberg
Enjoy this fascinating and ancient Bavarian city, dating back to the 11th century.

Day 9 - Regensburg
There is much to explore in the 2,000-year-old town of Regensburg, situated at the confluence of three rivers.

Day 11 - Melk > Dürnstein

Experience Melk’s magnificent 18th century Benedictine Abbey on a guided tour. Or, the more active can embark on an enjoyable guided bike ride along the river from Melk to Dürnstein, one of the most enchanting villages in the region. Alternatively, visit the fairytale castle of Burg Aggstein. Built in the 12th century, the castle ruins offers spectacular views across the Danube.

Day 12 - Vienna
Acquaint yourself with this opulent city by taking a fascinating guided tour of its most famous sights, including the Ringstrasse.

Breathe in the opulence and luxury of Palais Liechtenstein while enjoying a glass of fine Austrian Sekt. Then be enthralled by an enchanting private classical evening concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart. Day 13 - Vienna

Take a guided tour of Bratislava or visit Schönbrunn Palace, and witness the sheer opulence of the Habsburg Empire. Alternatively, learn about the Viennese coffee culture during a guided tour. Or explore a different side of Vienna on a cycling tour.

Day 14 - Budapest
We find ourselves in Budapest, one of Europe’s oldest and prettiest cities.

Make the most of a guided tour of Budapest including a piano concert, or relax and unwind at the Thermal Baths and Spa. Or, choose to experience the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock or take a hike to Buda Hill for breathtaking views over the Danube.

Enjoy some free time to explore beautiful Budapest.

Day 16 - Kalocsa
Located on the Great Hungarian Plain, Kalocsa is one of the oldest towns in Hungary. Today you will have the opportunity to witness a traditional Puszta horse show. Be greeted by the horsemen of the Puszta region where this type of activity has been practised for centuries.

Day 17 - Osijek

Explore Osijek on a guided city tour or, if you’re the more active type, you could take a blissful guided bike ride through Osijek’s countryside.

As a Scenic guest, you’ll be invited into the home of a local family for a traditional home-cooked meal and the chance to discover what everyday life is really like in Croatia. With great food and wonderful company, this is a rare opportunity to meet people who understand the local way of life intimately.

Day 18 - Belgrade

Enjoy an in-depth tour of one of Europe’s oldest capitals, Belgrade, including a visit to Tito’s Memorial, or take an orientation tour of Belgrade and see the highlights of the city before enjoying time at leisure to wander this beautiful city. Alternatively, choose a guided bicycle ride or for a true insight into everyday life, take a walk through the city with a student or journey to Sremski Karlovci, where you can wander the town with our experts and marvel at the many beautiful Baroque elements.

Day 19 - Iron Gates
Relax and admire the spectacular scenery as you cruise through the Iron Gates, a narrow gorge that the Danube has carved out between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains. A magnificent setting for a cruise and the natural border between Serbia and Romania.

Day 20 - Svishtov > Rousse

Discover the Byzantine gem of Veliko Tarnovo and the World Heritage-listed village of Arbanassi. Alternatively, stay on board and enjoy the trip towards the Bulgarian town of Rousse, where you’ll be treated to a guided sightseeing tour.

Day 21 - Silistra

Discover Silistra Fort during an active walking tour or take an excursion to Varna on the Black Sea coast. Alternatively, visit a local village and a primary school, and learn about life in Bulgaria.

Day 22 - Giurgiu > Bucharest
Bid a fond farewell to your crew as you disembark your Scenic Space-Ship and travel to Bucharest for an overnight stay.
