Day 1 Buenos Aires, Argentina
Step on board your ship to begin your journey. Your overnight stay allows time to discover Buenos Aires on your own. Enjoy an evening stroll down bustling Avenida de Mayo or Avenida 9 de Julio. Admire the mix of Latin- and European-style architecture. Or, opt to indulge in a traditional asado, or Argentinian barbecue, for dinner.

Day 2 Buenos Aires, Argentina
Be captivated by the bohemian flair of La Boca, marvel at the grand homes of Recoleta, one of the finest quarters of the city, and discover the many facets of Buenos Aires. This evening, take in a romantic melodies of tango during a show complete with singers, dancers and a tango orchestra while enjoying dinner.

Day 3 Montevideo, Uruguay
Uruguay’s capital city boasts perhaps the highest quality of living of any city in South America. Rich in parks, sweeping vistas and architectural styles, Montevideo is blessed with a subtropical climate, guaranteeing warm summers and mild winters. A panoramic tour features highlights such as the Legislative Palace, a grand neoclassical building, the Ciudad Vieja, or Old Town, and the Batlle y Ordóñez Park with the iconic La Caretta Monument. Or enjoy an overland tour to marvel at nature at the magnificent Iguazú Falls.

Day 4 Cruise the South Atlantic Ocean
Relax on board as you learn more about your upcoming destinations during an intriguing port talk, and explore your ship. Unwind in The Spa, where you can enjoy the Snow Grotto and Sauna, or by taking a dip in the Infinity Pool. Experience the serenity of the Wintergarden, where you can enjoy afternoon tea service under an elegant canopy of Scandinavian trellised wood. At night, try a regional specialty in The Restaurant, or take in a recent movie in one of our three theaters—two indoor and one under the stars at the Main Pool.

Day 5 Cruise the Atlantic Ocean
On your day at sea, you may visit Mamsen’s, our casual gourmet deli, any time from early morning to late night for a taste of traditional Norwegian fare.

Day 6 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The Cidade Maravilhosa, or “Marvelous City,” is blessed with a stunning setting so unique that UNESCO gave it World Heritage Site status. Gaze at the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue perched atop Corcovado mountain and admire the azure-blue waters as they lazily wash the sun-kissed beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. Take a cable car to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain and marvel at the panoramic vistas below.

Day 7-8 Cruise the South Atlantic Ocean
As you cruise the South Atlantic, enjoy refreshments in the Explorers’ Lounge and mingle with fellow travelers, and share your experiences.

Day 9 Recife, Brazil
Discover the colonial architecture that remains in Recife Antigo, the old city, and see how this colorful heart of the vibrant coastal metropolis delights its visitors with winding streets full of cafés, shops and restaurants. See the opulently decorated baroque churches, the New World’s oldest synagogue, and the former provincial stock exchange, now converted to a marketplace for artisans. Nearby Olinda, one of the oldest cities in Brazil, is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its beautiful architecture and exceptional parks.

Day 10-13 Cruise the Atlantic Ocean
Perhaps you will get a morning workout at the Fitness Center and soothe your body with a hot sauna and a few minutes amid the refreshingly chilled air of the Snow Grotto. This evening, enjoy cocktails in the Explorers’ Lounge and an authentic Italian meal at Manfredi’s Italian Restaurant.

Day 14 Dakar, Senegal
Senegal’s capital on the western tip of Africa is a bustling, lively and colorful city with wonderful beaches, busy markets and a bit of French flair. Explore Dakar and its highlights, including the African Renaissance Monument, a bronze statue that is the tallest in Africa, created to commemorate Senegal’s independence from France. Explore its beautiful corniche and seaside promenade, and take in the views as you enjoy the ocean breeze. Visit the island of Gorée, where slaves were held before being dispatched to the New World, sending thousands of people across the waters. Today it serves as a reminder of its troubled past, and as a sanctuary that promotes reconciliation and peace.

Day 15-17 Cruise the Atlantic Ocean
Sail across the Atlantic Ocean as you continue to explore Africa. Choose from a selection of travel-inspired literature from The Library as you head toward your next destination.

Day 18 Casablanca, Morocco
Steeped in romance, Casablanca lures visitors with its heady mix of neo-Moorish splendor and French influence. Known as “Casa” to locals, its streets exude an atmosphere of bygone days. Made famous by the 1942 eponymous film, today it is one of Africa’s most important ports. Parisian-style boulevards unfold past cafés and colonial buildings. Perhaps the most prominent legacy of French occupation is the massive white Casablanca Cathedral, a neo-Moorish masterwork built in 1930 for European Roman Catholics. The city’s medina is a maze of warrens pulsing with old-world energy, the hollers of carpet merchants and the fragrance of incense. The most impressive structure is the Hassan II Mosque, the country’s largest and most magnificent.

Day 19 Granada (Málaga), Spain
Today you can experience firsthand the stuff of Andalucian dreams. Birthplace of Pablo Picasso, Málaga is the gateway to Andalucia, the seductive province of rolling hills and endless olive groves. An included tour features the 11th-century Alcazaba Palace, residence of Arabian caliphs, the ancient Moorish Gibralfaro Castle, the Renaissance Cathedral and Picasso’s birthplace. Or, choose to explore the mighty Alhambra palace in Granada, one of Spain’s most treasured sites.

Day 20 Cruise the Mediterranean Sea
During your final day at sea, indulge yourself in the serene Wintergarden. Sample global teas or sip a pint from our craft beer selections. Or, visit The Library to read more about your favorite destinations.

Day 21 Barcelona, Spain
Awake in Barcelona and further explore the Catalonian capital. Start on Las Ramblas, the mile-long leafy pedestrian boulevard. Or take a turn through the myriad side streets of the Gothic Quarter, where the ancient and the modern sit side by side, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Or head to the Passeig de Gràcia, a boulevard renowned for its architecture, including works by Antoni Gaudí. Or opt for one of the many optional tours.

Day 22 Barcelona, Spain
Disembark your ship this morning as your journey comes to a close, or extend your stay in Barcelona.
