Description |
22 Night Cruise sailing from Copenhagen to Southampton (London) onboard Marina.
Marina is one of the most beautiful, elegant and sophisticated ships to debut in the past 50 years. Designer touches are everywhere, from the magnificent Lalique Grand Staircase and stunning Owner's Suites furnished in Ralph Lauren Home, they are showcases of the finest residential design and furnishings. More than anything, Marina and Riviera personify the Oceania Cruises experience.
Comfortably mid-size, Marina and Riviera retain the same warmth and charm of their acclaimed consorts Regatta, Insignia and Nautica. While the country club casual ambiance and level of personalized service remain the same, they offer even more choice and some enticing new amenities. As the first ships designed for lovers of fine dining and travel experiences, Marina and Riviera offer guests multiple dining venues, of which six are open-seating gourmet restaurants with no surcharge. La Reserve by Wine Spectator offers enlightening wine and food pairings. The new Bon Appétit Culinary Center is the only hands-on cooking school at sea. Similarly, artists-in-residence teach fine arts in Artists Loft, a new enrichment center. For specialty coffees and snacks, there is Baristas Coffee Bar. Intimate lounges abound. Accommodations in every category are incredibly spacious, especially with regard to the lavish bathrooms.
Yet remarkably, with so many additions, the onboard ambiance and experience remains comfortably familiar. We have retained everything guests adore about our ships and raised the bar ever higher. We look forward to welcoming you aboard.
Highlights of this cruise:
Copenhagen, Denmark
See another side of this lovely city with a cruise along its charming canals. Visit the quaint old harbor at Nyhavn and beautiful Rosenborg Castle and, of course, the famed statue of the Little Mermaid. Or venture into the countryside and enjoy its panoramic vistas, fairy tale castles and the village of Fredensborg.
Stockholm, Sweden
Spend a marvellous day discovering this lovely city and its beautiful buildings. Visit the charming Old Town, medieval Gamla Stan, the elegant royal palace, the wonderful parks and the impressive Vasa, the magnificently restored 17th century warship that sank in the harbor on her maiden voyage.
Helsinki, Finland
Admire the city's stunning modern architecture, visit its lovely parks and bustling open-air market. Take a harbor cruise past forests, beaches, villas and a ruined Suomenlinna fortress that spans five islands. Or visit historic, colorful Porvoo, Finland's second oldest town.
St. Petersburg, Russia
Explore breathtaking St. Petersburg and cruise its canals. Visit the Peter and Paul Fortress, the fabulous onion-domed cathedrals and the palaces - from the immense Winter Palace, now the Hermitage Museum, to the fabled Catherine's Palace and Peterhof outside the city. Enjoy an evening of ballet or traditional Russian song and dance or take a day trip to Moscow.
Tallinn, Estonia
Step back in time as you walk through this beautifully preserved medieval town and discover its upper and lower levels, the guild houses, the churches and squares, the famous apothecary shop and the exquisite town hall. See delightful parks, Baroque palaces and a ruined 15th century convent. Or visit a lovely recreated rural Estonian village by the sea.
Oslo, Norway
Overlooking a gorgeous fjord, Norway's capital and largest city simply radiates with natural beauty and sophistication. Oslo's rich seafaring history is on display at the Viking Ships Museum, rivaled only by the Kon-Tiki Museum, which holds the balsawood raft that Norwegian adventurer Thor Heyerdahl used to sail from Peru to Polynesia. History aside, Oslo exudes a love of the outdoors in city parks like Vigeland, which is adorned with over 200 life-size sculptures by artist Gustav Vigeland. Much of Oslo is heavily forested with pines, making it one of Europe's greenest cities.
Flam, Norway
Surrounded by steep mountains, thundering waterfalls, and emerald-green valleys, tiny Flåm clings to the innermost point of Sognefjord, Europe's longest, deepest fjord. It's a fairy tale setting that can be enjoyed many ways. Hike a nature trail in scenic Flåm Valley. Kayak through the fjord's crystalline waters. Ride the Flåm Railway, one of the world's steepest, as it loops through the virgin wilderness, just as it has since the 1940s. Visit Otternes Bygdetun, a rural museum of more than 20 farm buildings that look much like they did in the 18th century.
Bodo, Norway
Located just north of the Arctic Circle, mountainous Bodo is the starting point for the true north. Whether enjoying a Nordic beer or a glass of wine while watching sea eagles soar across the horizon, Bodo has a wealth of activities right on its doorstep, from kayaking and golfing to fascinating boat tours through the stunning archipelago and fishing in the world’s strongest tidal current, Saltstraumen. Discover the many natural wonders Bodo has to offer such as Red Beach at Mjelle, which according to locals has gemstone-infused particles, or explore the Norwegian Aviation Museum and Gothic Bodo Cathedral, which sounds its melodious church bells over the town every hour. Of course, the main attraction is Bodo’s backdrop of prominent peaks – excellent for hiking and climbing.
Bergen, Norway
Norway's medieval capital pays homage to its past with wooden houses and cobbled streets that grace the historic Bryggen area around the wharf. Here the Hanseatic Museum reveals a glimpse of working life in the Middle Ages, and the eerie 13th century Rosenkrantz Tower offers a phenomenal view of the seaport. But Bergen is also contemporary. The modern city stretches inland from the harbor, tempting visitors with attractions such as Bergen Aquarium and Trolls' Hill, the romantic summer villa of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, who is buried on the estate.
London (Southampton), United Kingdom
Take a trip up to London and get a bird’s eye view of the city from the London Eye. See sights like Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Piccadilly. Stroll along Lower Regent Street or visit the British Museum. |
