Join us as we usher in a new era of ocean cruising by taking the innovative thinking behind our award-winning river cruises and bringing it to the epic setting of the sea. Immerse yourself in your destination with regional cuisine, cultural lectures, a Nordic-inspired spa and magnificent views from spacious public areas.

Owning and operating the world’s largest fleet of river cruise ships—and now three new ocean vessels—has advantages for our guests. When you cruise with Viking, you benefit from a level of expertise second to none.

We have a history of providing our guests with a way to get below the surface, not just “checking off” each port. That’s why our ocean cruises are centered around where you go, not just how you get there, with hand-picked itineraries so you can immerse yourself in history, music, art, cuisine – everything about your destination. In addition, we include excursions led by knowledgeable local guides in every port of call. You learn about the lands through which you travel via enriching lectures that bring history to life; through cultural adventures; in-depth pre-trip materials; and on-demand programming, all designed to help you experience the most from your travels.

14 Night Cruise sailing from Bergen to Stockholm aboard Viking Venus.

Witness breathtaking scenery from your ship as she glides through majestic Norwegian fjords in the legendary homelands of the Vikings. Visit Copenhagen, Berlin and Helsinki, and enjoy overnights in scenic Bergen, majestic St. Petersburg and cosmopolitan Stockholm. Explore charming historic city centers in Gdańsk and Tallinn and sail the clear waters of Scandinavia and the Baltic on this 15-day cruise.

Highlights of this cruise:

Bergen, Norway
Awake in Bergen and further explore this Norwegian treasure. See the beautiful 18th-century wooden houses, and visit the Hanseatic Museum on your included tour. Perhaps take an excursion to Troldhaugen, the home of Edvard Grieg, Norway’s famous composer. Or take a trip to the top of Mt. Ulriken, where you can savor an Ulriken bun, a cinnamon pastry, with a view that is equally as indulgent.

Stavanger, Norway
From the heart of the Old Town, where your ship berths, you will have the morning and early afternoon to explore. Start here in the old quarter, Gamle Stavanger, which has Europe’s highest concentration of wooden buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Or consider a cruise along the Lysefjord to see the famous Preikestolen, or Pulpit Rock, jutting out nearly 2,000 feet above—it is one of Norway’s most famous natural attractions. Offshore oil drilling is an important industry for the local economy, and the award-winning Norwegian Petroleum Museum tells the story of the dangers faced in extracting this precious fuel. While ashore, don’t forget to indulge in waffles with cream and sweet jams with a steaming cup of hot tea.

Copenhagen, Denmark
Originally a Viking fishing village founded in the 10th century, the Danish capital boasts over 850 years of history. With an entire day to explore, pass the brightly colored houses of Nyhavn, or New Harbor, once the home of Hans Christian Andersen. Discover the sumptuously rococo interiors of Amalienborg Palace, the winter residence of the Danish royal family. You may also want to consider a trip to the ornate Kronborg Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the inspirational setting of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. This fairy-tale city provides plenty to explore, including delights for your palate at one of the many Michelin-starred restaurants, where you can indulge in a decadent lunch or an early dinner.

Tallinn, Estonia
As you take a stroll through the meticulously restored medieval streets of old town Tallinn, you will feel the aura of the 14th and 15th centuries of the Estonian capital. Essential is a visit to the colossal Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, built in the Russian Orthodox style. Explore the sumptuously Baroque Kadriorg Palace, intended as a summer residence for Catherine the First of Russia, now the home of the foreign art collection of the Art Museum of Estonia. Last but not least, feast on marzipan, for this is the honey and almond confection’s birthplace. Intricate edible creations can be found throughout the city, and should be sampled as often as possible.

St. Petersburg, Russia
From morning through the next day, explore majestic St. Petersburg. Enjoy an included tour that shows you St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Peter and Paul Fortress, Nevsky Prospekt and more. Our overnight stay allows time to choose an optional tour of the Hermitage Museum, an evening at a private concert and more, as we will be spending the night in port.

Stockholm, Sweden
Spend the day discovering Stockholm’s stunning archipelago, nestled where Lake Mälaren’s cobalt waters meet the Baltic. Take in this amazing city spread with over 14 islands and its 13th-century Old Town, Gamla Stan, with German-influenced architecture. Consider a trip to the Vasa Museum, which contains the almost fully intact shipwreck of a 17th-century warship. In the evening, indulge in an authentic smörgåsbord complete with traditional smoked salmon, and a nightcap of aquavit, as we will be spending the night in port.
