Once you’ve left the Emerald Isle, you’ll have two full days at sea to enjoy the world-class amenities, entertainment, and dining aboard the Azamara Quest®. Dock in Reykjavik, where you’ll spend two days plunging into hot springs, sampling local cuisine, and discovering museums and galleries. Next up is Isafjordur, a remote fishing community with a quaint Old Town and a lively arts and music scene.
If you love horses, you’re in luck–your next destination, Skagafjörður, is the only county in Iceland where horses outnumber people. During an overnight stay in Akureyri, marvel at the snow-capped mountain peaks, stunning fjords, and lush countryside. More wildlife awaits in Husavik: known as the whale-watching capital of Iceland, the waters surrounding this coastal town are home to humpbacks, minke, and the mammoth blue whale. Your final Iceland destination is Seydisfjordur, boasting some of the country’s most unique architecture, natural beauty, and friendly faces. Board the Azamara Quest® for two more days at sea before returning to Dublin.

Reykjavik, Iceland
Domain of the Norse thunder god, Thor, and shaped by fire and ice, Iceland’s volcanic landscape is a spectacular collage of lava fields, craters, waterfalls, and imposing mountain ranges.

Isafjordur, Iceland

Seydisfjordur, Iceland

One of the most historically and architecturally interesting towns in East Iceland, Seyðisfjörður is home to a community of colorful wooden buildings dating back to the 19th century, and a quick stroll through town to take them in is a must. Be sure to stop at the famed Blue Church along the way—its distinct powder blue hue and architecture make it one of the most recognizable landmarks in Iceland.
Akureyri, Iceland
Akureyri is considered a city, in fact Iceland’s second largest, even though its total population is only about 18,000.
Set on the shores of one of Iceland’s most spectacular fjords, with a backdrop of countryside earth tones and greens and perennially snow-capped mountains, it is quite a sight to behold. Weather patterns here are a bit of a puzzle – only 60 miles from the Arctic Circle, summer temperatures can soar as high as 60°F. No surprise then that a main attraction is the Botanical Gardens, where over 2,000 species of native and non-native plants flourish without benefit of a greenhouse.
Husavik, Iceland
The whale-watching capital of Iceland, Husavik sits on the eastern shore of Skjálfandi Bay, where humpbacks, minke, and blue whales breach the waves and slap the water with their enormous fins. Geothermal springs south of town are the perfect spot to relax, while the Exploration Museum pays tribute to adventures mapping the globe, and beyond.
