Your exploration of the Black Sea begins with an overnight stay in Istanbul. Once the end of the Silk Road trade route linking Europe with Asia, Istanbul has always been a melting pot of cultural diversity. And today, it offers something special for foodies, history buffs, and sightseers alike.
Then, it’s off to Bulgaria’s maritime capital of Verna — a cosmopolitan gem on the Black Sea’s shores — for a late stay. Constanta, Romania — with its Roman Mosaics, multiple museums, and eight miles of sandy beaches — is next, followed by an overnight stay in Odessa, Ukraine. Decadent and distinct, Odessa is the type of city you could spend a lifetime in one night. Be sure to explore the beautiful city center for unique monuments and picturesque panoramas before diving into its thriving gastronomy scene.
After Odessa, you’ll spend the evening cruising the Bosphorus Strait before arriving in Canakkale, Turkey. Here, a stroll along the Kordon (the waterfront promenade), followed by time spent exploring the vibrant cobbled lanes are both can’t-miss experiences. Next, you’ll arrive for a late stay in Kavala, Greece, where you’ll find Ottoman treasures in the old town district, Panagia — highlighted by the 280m-long Kamares aqueduct. Built in the 16th century, the Kamares is in amazing condition and is both must-see and hard to miss.
Your voyage then takes you to Greece’s charming second city of Thessaloniki, before concluding with an overnight stay in Athens — where the next leg of your adventure is waiting.

Odessa
Founded by Katherine the Great, this brilliant jewel on the Black Sea boasts pastel-hued, neoclassical buildings, the bustling Pryvoz market, and the iconic Potemkin steps. Deribasovskaya Street is a pedestrian paradise with endless shops, cafes, and monuments, and the world-renowned Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater is an opulent blend of Viennese, Italian, and French architecture.
Istanbul
East meets West in the storied city where Europe and Asia meet.
