The route concept concentrates on four regions: Western Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean, Arabian Peninsula and Asia. In fulfilment of the wishes of our guests these will be shorter, mostly seven-day voyages. Many routes will be offered on different dates and can be combined flexibly to form longer, fantastic stays on board.
The interior concept follows current design trends and is a successful mixture of casual and stylish ambience with state-of-the-art technology. Hardly any other ship offers more space per guest as EUROPA 2 since, after all is said and done, well-being is also measured in square metres. The EUROPA 2 will welcome you at the start of your cruise on Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. The island is famous for the legendary beaches and a colourful underwater world, which you can explore to a depth of 35 m (115 ft) in a submarine*. Enjoy the turquoise sea with some swimming and snorkelling on a catamaran tour*.
Le Port/Reunion/France
The tropical landscape and the mountain ranges of Reunion create a scene that could have come straight out of a picture book. Explore the volcano Piton de la Fournaise* or take a helicopter flight* over huge valleys and tiny villages. Discover the diverse mountains with a hike to Cap Noir*.
Port d’Ehoala (Taolanaro)/Madagascar
This is a place known for its beaches, lagoons and lush vegetation. A walk through Nahampoana Reserve* will introduce you not only to a variety of exotic plants but also lemurs.
Richards Bay/South Africa
Experience unforgettable safaris* into the spectacular Zululand region: Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park* is one of South Africa’s oldest nature reserves and is home to leopards, lions, zebras and giraffes, as well as the endangered black rhino. The Zulu Nyala Safari Game Lodge* also offers spellbinding encounters with four of the big five. Alternatively, glide along St Lucia’s river* by boat and watch the crocodiles and hippos from a safe distance. Please note: Richards Bay is South Africa’s largest industrial port but it is an essential starting point for unique natural experiences.
Durban/South Africa
You’ll find a very special blend of European, African and Indian culture in this city. Discover Durban, the country’s third-largest city. Nature lovers can opt for an active canopy adventure* in the treetops of the jungle.
East London/South Africa
The city on the coast where the Buffalo and Nahoon Rivers empty into the Indian Ocean has German settlers partly to thank for its growth. Take a tour* of the city or go for a game drive in one of the wildlife reserves*. With a little luck, you’ll spot giraffes, antelopes or even elephants. An overland excursion* with re-embarkation in Port Elizabeth offers even more of a safari feeling.

The city stretches 16 km (9.9 mi.) along the coast of South Africa and will impress you with its distinctive panorama. The prospect of over 25 game species and 200 types of bird in Kariega Private Game Reserve* is just as exciting as the approximately 400 colossal creatures in Addo Elephant National Park*.
Mossel Bay/South Africa
The “Bay of Mussels†lies on a coastal plateau set against the imposing backdrop of the Outeniqua Mountains. An excursion heads from Mossel Bay along the famous Garden Route* with its many attractions. A scenic tour to Knysna* – followed by a boat tour* in the lagoon – also takes you along the most beautiful part of the route.
Cape Town/South Africa
The symbiosis of big-city flair, the wonderful location on the ocean, the interesting history and the diverse hinterland is what makes Cape Town so distinct.
